What I become after losing a beloved one

I wrote this post some days back.... it was just in the draft and today is the best day to post as I am marking two years since the lost of my beloved one!!!

I know everyone has their own experience after losing  their beloved one and as we struggle to recover from such hard time in life so many things may happen in between, most of behavior may arise some of them are not under our own control but it’s just because we are in transition of letting go

My experience was not an easy after the lost of my fiancĂ©, if you read my blog you would have read my post HERE, I wrote this post dedicating everything towards myself and the current situation I had at that time. I would not like to talk much about that post rather today I would like to let it out on the behaviors that I know I generate after the lost….. These are just some that I can easily identify myself I don’t know those behaviors that I can’t see them.... Here they are

I become jealous out of nothing; I can’t help it but feel jealous out of nothing at all!!!  I feel like my fellows have more than I and I think if that person was around I could be in a position of having it or you could be the same as them. I would also feel jealous if I see coupes around and I would like to see yourself in that position too

I become insecure; yes its true “insecure” If I stay in group of people I would feel like I am the only one who is missing something or I am the only one has lost someone close at that time. I could be insecure of avoiding some discussions too

This is too bad but it is true, I would like to talk about my lost!!!  I could finish an hour or two discussing about that. I don’t know why may be because it is a relief when I talk about that

I compare, I try to compare what I had and what I current have……. I may put a comparison table even to a new relationship because that was not something that I expected to lose at that time then you feel like they still exist. **** Though I don't have a right to compare people because everyone comes in life with there own blessings****

I was in movement Struggle finding replacement, sometimes I would feel like there is something missing and to cover the gap is the only solution, so I would try to find and engage myself in new activities for the satisfaction

I struggled and I am still struggling with this lose, But I thank God for the improvements I have so far.... That's it for today

Please don't hesitate to share with me some of your experience

Thank you for stopping by

Cheers

New In Store

Happy New Week!!!

I am stopping by to post my new collection and new designs in my store!!! In this business the best part or moment I like is when I have my pictures ready for online store “… I know before I have my pictures ready I have to go through a lot to complete making all the clothes...”. I am not complaining but I feel blessed by God to have courage to manage all that

------You requested, And we have listened --------- Most of times we have been receiving a request from our customers asking if they can get an alternative fabric choice. This time we are adding an option of African Prints Fabrics Catalog; this is for customers to have an optional of choosing the fabrics (colors/prints) they like.  Please stay tuned I will be featuring a post for the fabrics that we have.

All our collections are made by us…. Visit our online store HERE

African Prints Patchwork Pillow Case Tutorial

Happy Friday!!

This weekend I am sharing this simple and quick tutorial for making your patchwork pillow case. For my pillow case I used African prints fabrics that have been collecting them from different projects that used in making clothes for my online store. The pillow cases that I made is 16" X 16"

Things Needed
- Sewing Machine, guess what the sewing machine I am using is as old as my age. This sewing was used by my mother and is the same machine I am using now. In future I will share the post about this sewing machine.
- Fabrics (3 - 5 different fabrics)
-Zipper
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
- Chalk (for making)

So lets start,

Step 1: Cut your fabrics in about 20" long and about 4" wide

Step 2: Sew the ends of your fabric pieces together, at the end you will have something like below

Because I was making more than 4 pillow cases I had different fabrics

Iron your pieces, and cut the exceeding pieces on each side

Step 3: Divide your fabric in four pieces (cut horizontally against the the lines you have sewn at first). This step is optional if you like lines of fabrics you can skip Step 3 & 4 and jump to step 5

Step 4: Choose fabrics different to the other and sew them together

Step 5: Once you finish above step, measure the pieces in 17" X 17" each.
Insert zipper and finish sewing the rest sides

And here we go, at the end you will have your patchwork pillow cases ready

Thank you so much for stopping by and please let me know your experience on how you make your patchwork pillow cases

Asante Sana and Have A Nice WeekEnd

Best Song I See Myself In

Hello People ........ Happy New Week!!!

I am excited because today is my last day to work and I will have 3 weeks off, I think this is the reason I keep this job because I get 3 weeks off after 6 weeks of work!!!!

Okay from my inspiration dairy today,  I thought of sharing about my worktrack song and why I love Dolly Patron. I know you would like to know a bit about a person behind this blog and here we are

I do listen to country music…..YES I DO and I LOVE…. Though I don’t know many of country songs and singers but I love Kenny Rogers and Dolly Patron. Dolly is one of my favorite country singer of all times and
I love her more because when I listen to one of her songs I see myself in her.
Dolly Patron has inspired me so much by her song “Coat of Many Colors” and I made it to be my worktrack song and my inspiration song too

Though my story is not the same as of Dolly's but……. My mama loves sewing and back to those days I remember my mama would sew some school uniforms and schoolbags for!!! When I remember about that now, I know this meant a lot her and wishing me good luck and happiness.

Sometimes, when I work and need some inspiration to continue working I switch on “Coat of many Colors”. I am telling you I can listen to this song again and again until I get to finish what I do ……. This song also made me believe that sometimes we are not born rich but we have to work hard to sustain our lives and you may have no money but you are so rich "In your own coat of many colors"

Of course I am listening to this “Coat of Many Colors” now while writing

That’s it for today…. Thank you for stopping by

Have you ever been inspired by any song and you see yourself in it?

Please feel free to leave me a feedback in comment box

What I have learnt.......

Happy New Week Peole!!!!

How was your weekend? Mine was not good as I was expecting it to be just because we had fire at my dad's house and it’s an horrible experience but we thank God no one got hurt though we will start with the struggle of re-building it again….. Because I need to cheer up I thought of posting different topic than talking about the fire

Why did I name this tittle as "What I have learnt..." Its becouse for the past two weeks I have been working alone in the office and this led me to learn some behavior which in the past I didn't care about them or I just overlooked them. I have now learnt to..........

Source

Writing it down…. Note some tasks that are needed to be complete!!! usually I don’t carry diary with me and  I would wonder why my boss has that huge diary. But this time I have learn my lesson that it’s so easy to go through your diary papers that going through your mind trying to find what tasks needed your attention

Reminder… This was my biggest help; I normally don’t put reminders believing that I would remember but this time I had learnt to save everything in my calendar reminder So what I did is as soon as I get new task which has to be completed in specific time I would immediately run to my outlook calendar

Time table organizer…. This was very helpful, I just needed to follow what was required to complete for a day!!! Sometimes I may be carried away but this helped in maintaining my targets

Relax….  It’s OkaY RelaX!!! I know some words are so encouraging and may differ between from one person to other… mine is “ITS OKAY RELAX”. I have learnt using these words in many occasions now and I feel so relax once I use it

Hello July

Happy New Month People......  the first 6 months have passed and we are now counting down to reach December!!! This went fast....

Okay let’s get back to this post of today; this will be my first post to write about Monthly wish list or plans... I know sometimes it’s not so easy to let all your plans in blog post for that reason I thought of writing those general wish list and plans which by one point or the other will direct to either my shop or for my blog.
Due to my work schedule I have to put my schedules for 2 months…so below plans are valid from July – August, though will try reviewing them in both month’s end

Let me jump to my wish list first

Wish List One - Camera, for best photo taking
Wish to purchase DSLR camera... I just need beginners’ dsrl camera and I think Nikon D3300 will fit my needs for now

source

Wish List Two - Cutting Table
I need need need sewing cutting table; it’s so hard to work without cutting tables!!! I just want it to be simple but also a budgeted one, so I am think of kwenda kwa mafundi mbao and give them my idea on how I want it to be

Sourse

Wish List Three - Sewing Space
What if I get the cutting table where will I place it?? That’s why I though of finding a space… And honestly this is a part that I am so exciting because I have a lot of ideas on how I want it to be!!! Would also imagine how I want this place to be

Okay ---- My Plans for Shop and Blog

Plan One - End of these 2 months, I would like to add 15 items in plus size collection…. I am also starting collecting ideas with Petite clothes …. This will be my challenge for the upcoming 6 months before the New Year

Plan Two - More time for my blog, have a post at least 2 – 3 times a week …. I have been saying this now and them but I have failed. This time I really what to put efforts in this
I know my blog is one of the platforms for promoting my business and I said this before

Plan Three - Promote Promote Promote My shop … get more views and favorites than what I had for the past 2 months.
As I am writing now I am in below trend, I really like to double my exposure in both views and favorites

Views
11,398
2,336 shop views
9,062 listing views

Favorites
482
120 shop favorites
362 listing favorites

Plan Four - Think of starting a blog link up… I will talk about it in my future next posts

That’s it ….
