ME & MY SHOP

I wanted to share bit about ME & MY SHOP, a little behind me & my shop!!! MY SHOP is among the best thing I had for this year, it made me change my thinking, explore and learn new things and it was one thing that made me find an alternative activity after one big tragedy that happened Dec, 2012.

I officially opened my shop in Etsy on Oct 30th , 2012... and it was for the first time I start doing business and for the first time doing an online business (at first I did not think this is business, I just thought this is what I like to do which turned to business). Before I opened my shop, I knew nothing about Etsy but after some research through internet "googling" that is where I came across Etsy

How long did I stay before my first sale?---- One thing that made me super happy is to see people viewing and favorite my items. 30 days after my shop was live (on Nov 30th, 2012) is when I received first conversation from a buyer who wanted to purchase some of my pillow covers " I wanted to collapse with joy" though buyer did not purchase but that made me move on and encouraged me. In Dec, 2012 I temporary closed my shop after had one life tragedy and re-opened the shop in April, 2013. I did stay for so long till I sold my first items in June, 2013

What is The First item I sold?----- My first sale was on pillow covers which I named them as 2 Stunning Inspiration African Pillow Covers

What is my recent sale? ----- Through out the year I have been adding different items and now I have some African print women clothes. So the picture below is the recent sale from my shop Dashiki Dress - African Print Dress

What Next? ----- I would say I am new to this world of handmade business that's why I still need to study more on this but ABOVE ALL I THANK ALMIGHTY GOD for everything and will go as we go.

Happy Wednesday everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Cheers

turning point to beautiful life

Hello there,

Its already November!!! it was just last week when I posted last and it was October. Anyway October was a blessing month and lets start November with all the love that we have.

Was not able to post on Monday because I didn't have much to say for my shop and I thought why not sharing little about life inspiration. I would call it have some time to recall and the turning point

Thinking, if I take pictures of anything at the time I am happy, I would definitely love the pictures, will make me smile, happy and would like to see them again and again

But have you thought of looking at the same pictures at the time of sadness??? For me, I would not like to look at them, may be because they will make me feel more sad or may be I am scarred to look at them because I would realize I am not happy

For how long will this go, I want my smile back, I want my beautiful life back
Where is my turning point to the happiness? May be will be after some days,  1 year or 2 or 3.....

In reality, how will the sadness end if we can't find our turning point? Where is it now?
Our turning points are just now..... take some time to recall and memorize events but at this time give it a smile every time we recall because we are giving happiness in sadness and if we find happiness during the sadness then we found our turning point to the beautiful life again. And believe it, there is GOD to help us find our turning points to the beautiful life!!!

What about you have you ever been sad??? how where you able to regain your happiness again?

Just this for today and hope we get our turning point to beautiful life again!!!

Thank you

Wednesday Pick & Mix!!

Its the middle of the week and would like to let you know what is going on in my shop. This week I want to pick one cloth from my shop and try to match it with some other staffs to make complete outfit look

My pick today goes to African Print Pants, African prints fabrics usually have so many colors that you can match with the plain color combination. From this pants I thought of Dark Red, Mustard (yellow) and Green combination.

Lets see how I came up with this outfits

First Outfit I did: African Print pants with mustard shirt, yellow/green shoes, dark red clutch and dark read earrings

I picked this from
Shoes -  Lulic
Clutch -  TRACCELeather
Earrings -  LoveShineBridal

Second outfit - I choose to combine with dark-red blazer, white top, mustard heels and some accessories

I picked this from
Blazer - NewLook
White Top - Houseoffraser
Shoes - Ebay
Clutch  - farragobags2
Set of Earrings and Blacelet - HeartmadeBeejoux

Third Outfit, I though of flat shoes.... If you like flat shoes like i do, lets see this outfit

I picked this from
Pants from Kwanza Inspira Shop
Scarf - SenasShop
White Top - Houseoffraser
White Flat Sandals - Aldo
Blacelet - I found this in Etsy, I was not able to save the shop

You can still do a lot of combination with this pants, depending on what you like and you will still look fabulous.

Hope you enjoy my Pick & Mix Session, until the next one

To thank everyone around I would like to do a giveaway for this beautiful African Prints Tote bag and since we are approaching the holiday season it will be a very nice gift to the LUCKY WINNER

Watching Sunset From My Side

Have you thought of taking pictures of sunset?
I am among of people who like to watch sunset, to me seeing sunset means "LIFE". It means I was able to pass the 12hrs of the day and in few hours I would to bed... there is every reason to give thanks to God and ask him to let me see another sunset in the next day!!!!

Over the past 2 weeks I have been wanting to take some photos of sunset but almost everyday I had unexcused may be this... or that..... or whatever, yesterday I had no excuse and decided do it.
I wanted to take some pictures from the trees so that it could look like  "forest sunset"
May be there not the best pictures but I will try to take some more and best pics next time

This is how the sunset looks from my side.how does it look from where you are?

Enjoy the week!!!

Last Sunday I went for shopping to purchase some African prints fabrics which I plan to use them in my new collection of November, I thought I should to start purchasing new African prints fabrics as I am planning to release  new clothes in the end of November and its already mid of October now.
This time I wanted something different than the usual fabric that I have them in my store. For that purpose this time I went for mixed color African print fabrics called "Kigoma Vitenge".

These are some of the fabrics that will be included in new collection
