African Prints Patchwork Pillow Case Tutorial

Happy Friday!!

This weekend I am sharing this simple and quick tutorial for making your patchwork pillow case. For my pillow case I used African prints fabrics that have been collecting them from different projects that used in making clothes for my online store. The pillow cases that I made is 16" X 16"

Things Needed
- Sewing Machine, guess what the sewing machine I am using is as old as my age. This sewing was used by my mother and is the same machine I am using now. In future I will share the post about this sewing machine.
- Fabrics (3 - 5 different fabrics)
-Zipper
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
- Chalk (for making)

So lets start,

Step 1: Cut your fabrics in about 20" long and about 4" wide

Step 2: Sew the ends of your fabric pieces together, at the end you will have something like below

Because I was making more than 4 pillow cases I had different fabrics

Iron your pieces, and cut the exceeding pieces on each side

Step 3: Divide your fabric in four pieces (cut horizontally against the the lines you have sewn at first). This step is optional if you like lines of fabrics you can skip Step 3 & 4 and jump to step 5

Step 4: Choose fabrics different to the other and sew them together

Step 5: Once you finish above step, measure the pieces in 17" X 17" each.
Insert zipper and finish sewing the rest sides

And here we go, at the end you will have your patchwork pillow cases ready

Thank you so much for stopping by and please let me know your experience on how you make your patchwork pillow cases

Asante Sana and Have A Nice WeekEnd
